The Obligatory List of Links to Other Renaissance Festival and Renaissance Faire Related Sites

Hey! It just wouldn't be a web site if we didn't have a list of links! If you know of a great link we missed, or if you want to trade links, go to the contact page and send us a message.

Yeoman of the Guard

Yes, there's more of them out there!

The Yoeman of the Guard The Yeomen of the Guard of the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Southern California. They have a better history of the Guard than I do, and good information for any faire performer.

Texas Renaissance Faires

Texas Renaissance Festival - Official Page The TRF’s official site, with some of the expected information. You can fill out a form and they will send you a brochure.

TRF - Official Web Cam Much improved from its original version, there are now a series of five cameras located throughout the festival site.

Scarborough Faire In Waxahachie, near Dallas it is a smaller faire than TRF, and thus retains a lot of its charm and intimacy. It is held in the spring, and unfortunately what I usually remember is the heat.

South Texas Medieval Fantasy Faire A new venture planned for 3 days in December in Corpus Christi, it looks like they're going for the traveling faire motif by having the event in a public park there. Best of luck guys!

Texas Renaissance Festival Entertainers

Iris and Rose We like bawdy wenches and these two are the best! On top of that these girls are great fun, talented and funny, and, I might add, (at the risk of ruining their reputation), they party with the Beefeaters!

The Sturdy Beggars Official Mud Show Home Page For the easily amused, or the kid in all of us. These guys have been playing in, rolling in and eating mud at TRF since 1980. If you haven’t seen these guys perform, make a point to see them this year.

Bill Palmer's Home Page- AKA Merlin the Magician Bill no longer does renaissance festivals but he was a mainstay at the TRF for 26 years. He was also a regular for many years at Scarborough Faire.

Washing Well Wenches They think we're funny, and we think they're funny too.

Sound and Fury "Fakespearean" theatrical works. With titles like Canned Hamlet and Testaclese and the sack of Rome, I think you can see where this is going.

Ded Bob The ventriloquist who isn't, Bob has been getting away with being rude for years because he's 'ded'. An audience favorite, I have no idea why.

To the Hilt Comedy swordfighting show. It's all fun and games until someone puts an eye out. Then it's just fun.

Musical Performers

Tudor Tarts Bawdy wenches (the best kind) Kathy and Elizabeth from the Austin area. They also happen to be great fans of the Beefeaters!

The Gypsy Guerrilla Band While their actual musical style is much more diverse that just renaissance, they happily adapt to the faire and entertain the multitudes. They often play near the front gate where the guard can hear them too.

Wyndnwyre Medieval and Renaissance Music based in Celtic traditions.

Cantiga Renaissance-folk musical group has been together over two decades. Members play recorder, harp, fiddle cello and percussion and together with troubadour Owain Phyfe.

Tartanic Celtic Bagpipes Drums and Dance.

Cast in Bronze Innovative music featuring the only mobile Carillon in the world.

Texas Brass Ensemble In addition to providing Herald Trumpets and Fanfares and Flourishes for things like the King's proclamation and jousts, they perform shows near the front gates, providing delightful background music for those witty and charming Beefeaters.

Queen Anne's Lace A small, a cappella women's ensemble specializing in a variety of musical genres, with impromptu harmonies, improvisational banter, and a delightful stage presence.

Playtrons, Rennies and Fans:

GypsySpice's Domain GypsySpice is the Beefeaters favourite chainmail girl, and that's saying a lot. She went down in Beefeater history when she actually squealed as she got a stamp at the exit gate. Ask her about it.

Lorelei's Lair Lorelei of the clan MacDobhran has a very nice page with lots of pictures from TRF and Scarborough. You will be sure to recognize her if you are a follower of alt.faires.renaissance.

Sir Stalkwell Despite the potentially disturbing name his page is an outstanding collection of professional quality photos from TRF, Hawkwood, Scarborough, and Four Winds renaissance faires. You might also recognize him if you follow AFR. Stalker002 has her own section now also!

Renradio Renaissance and Celtic Faire music on Internet radio. Listen on your computer, and find your favourite artists and songs.

Blackwolf the Dragonmaster's Dark Chambers Home of the Big Apple's first and only Unofficial Wizard, this site includes Faire links, words of wisdom and the only Royal Census for Faire Kings and Queens!

Links to Things Renaissance on the Internet:

Sir Clisto Seversword's Tome of Adventure and Knowledge One of the most complete lists of Internet links on all things to do with the renaissance and renaissance festivals. This is the place to start your search.

The Directorie of Renaissance Faires and Medieval Festivals Graphically appealing site with searchable links for renaissance faires world wide. You can search by date or geographical location.
